Telkoi, Keonjhar, Odisha : In a heart-wrenching road accident near Jagmohanpur Temple on National Highway-49, a young couple and their one-year-old daughter lost their lives after a speeding unidentified truck hit their bike. The tragic mishap occurred while the family was en route to a nearby destination on a two-wheeler.
According to sources, the father, mother, and their infant were traveling when the truck struck them from behind, throwing all three off the bike. Alarmed by the accident, local residents rushed to the spot and transported the victims to the nearby medical center. Unfortunately, all three were declared dead on arrival.
The victims have been identified as a husband-wife duo and their one-year-old daughter, making the loss even more devastating.
Following the incident, tension flared at the scene as enraged locals blocked the highway, demanding justice and immediate action against the truck driver. The blockade led to a long traffic snarl on both sides of the road, with numerous vehicles stranded for hours.
Police arrived at the location and are currently trying to pacify the protestors while initiating an investigation into the incident. Efforts are on to trace the absconding truck and its driver.
