Jharsuguda, Odisha : The district-level ceremony for the distribution of the third installment of the Subhadra Yojana was held on Saturday morning at the MCL Auditorium in Jharsuguda, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathy attended the event as the chief guest, highlighting how the scheme has empowered women to become self-reliant. He informed that over 1.3 lakh women in the district have already benefited from the scheme.
Beneficiaries Sarita Dakua, Netrabati Pradhan, and Deepika Singh shared their personal experiences, explaining how the financial support from Subhadra Yojana helped them achieve economic independence.
The event witnessed the presence of BJP District President Raghunandan Panda, representative of the Revenue Minister Pramod Senapati, Additional District Magistrates Brajabandhu Bhoi (Administration) and Kishore Swain (Revenue), Child Development Officer Sunanda Maharana, District Social Welfare Officer Punyavati Helen Khess, District Information & Public Relations Officer Ajay Jena, along with officials from various departments, Subhadra beneficiaries, self-help group members, and several social workers.
