New Delhi : Zoho’s Chief Scientist and Co-founder Sridhar Vembu on Friday called on deep-tech innovators from Indian academic institutions and incubators to submit applications for the Bharat Innovates 2026 innovation showcase in France.
Vembu set the application deadline for October 26 in a post on social media platform X.
He wrote, “It is time to tell the world about all the deep tech work happening across India!”
Bharat Innovates 2026: Showcase Your Innovation in France
Vembu highlighted that Bharat Innovates 2026 will spotlight and support local deep-tech innovations in June 2026.
“BharatInnovates2026 will nurture and showcase home-grown deep-tech innovations in France, highlighting path-breaking ventures scaling up in India’s education ecosystem,” he said.
The Ministry of Education launched Bharat Innovates 2026 to present India’s top deep-tech innovations at Technology Readiness Levels 3–9.
The event will let 100 selected innovations reach industry leaders, investors, policymakers, and potential collaborators.
Top 100 Ventures to Gain Global Exposure and Support
The program will help selected ventures refine their value propositions, access global markets and partnerships, and secure investment.
Applicants must form student-faculty teams from MOE-linked higher education institutions, CFTI research labs, pre-incubators, or MOE-associated innovation centres. Ventures linked to these institutions also qualify.
If the innovation has grown into a venture, the entity must register legally in India, and Indian founders must hold more than 51% equity.
Earlier, Zoho announced that its messaging app Arattai will become interoperable like UPI and email, as downloads surged.
