Bhubaneswar, Odisha : From today, Odisha is set to witness a world-class sporting spectacle as the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze makes its India debut at the iconic Kalinga Stadium. For the first time in the country’s history, the event will bring together 225 athletes from 17 nations, competing across 19 thrilling track and field disciplines.
Representing Odisha on the global stage will be Olympian Srabani Nanda, Pragnya Paramita, Lalu Prasad Bhoi, and Animesh Kujur, all ready to make their mark against top-tier international competitors.
The championship marks Odisha’s second major international athletics event, following the resounding success of the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships. With 93 Indian athletes in contention, the tournament promises fierce rivalries, record-breaking performances, and electrifying moments for sports fans.
International and national stars have already arrived in Bhubaneswar, setting the stage for a sporting extravaganza that reaffirms Odisha’s position as India’s emerging global sports hub.
