Cuttack, Odisha: The Odisha High Court has taken serious note of the prolonged inaction in the fake appointment case at Pattamundai Women’s College and has summoned the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kendrapara for an explanation.
Despite two years having passed since the case first surfaced, the investigation remains incomplete, raising concerns over administrative negligence. The High Court has questioned why no action has been initiated against the investigating officer for dereliction of duty.
The court has further directed the SP to submit a detailed affidavit, explaining the reasons behind the delay in the investigation and the apparent disregard of earlier court directives. The bench has expressed displeasure over the lack of urgency and transparency in handling a matter involving fraud and potential corruption in public employment.
This development comes amid growing demands for accountability and timely justice in cases related to recruitment malpractice within educational institutions.
