Mumbai : Former beauty queen Nehal Chudasama, who was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2018, has revealed why she would now prefer the “Bigg Boss 19” trophy over her pageant crown. Having already experienced the thrill of winning a national pageant and representing India, Nehal said the reality show trophy offers greater visibility and a new kind of recognition.
“Since I’ve already won the crown, even if given the choice today, I would choose the trophy because the entire nation loves Bigg Boss. The visibility is definitely more. So, the trophy would be my choice. But I’m saying that because I’ve already represented my country and felt that emotion,” Nehal told IANS.
The actress, who entered the Salman Khan-hosted reality show, said that joining Bigg Boss was a careful decision.
“It’s been a decision for a few years actually. Finally, it went from a no-no to a definite yes because of the platform it provides and the exposure it gives. That’s why it was a definite yes this time,” she added.
When asked whether pageant skills help in handling pressure inside the Bigg Boss house, Nehal said:
“Oh, absolutely. Pageants teach patience, awareness, and humility. It’s a self-discovery journey that makes you very self-aware and patient, which I’ll use on the show.”
Nehal also emphasized her readiness to show her unfiltered personality on camera:
“My USP is that I am very expressive—at least that’s what my friends say. Since I’ll be on camera 24×7, I think I’ll be expressive as well.”
On balancing pageant poise with Bigg Boss strategies, she said:
“I’m all about balancing life. Pageants are an art, while Bigg Boss is about living organically. I’ll find the perfect balance inside the house.”
