New Delhi : The Government announced that the India AI Symposium 2026, titled ‘Research Symposium on AI and Its Impact,’ will take place on February 18, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, the Ministry of Electronics & IT said on Tuesday.
Moreover, the event will accompany the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, which runs from February 19–20, 2026.
The Research Symposium aims to unite top researchers and practitioners from India, the Global South, and other nations to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping society and the economy. Furthermore, it provides a platform to share new findings, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration between research, policy, and real-world applications.
In addition, the programme features high-level plenary sessions with eminent Indian and international researchers, an International Research Showcase with short talks by global AI leaders, and a Global South Showcase that highlights innovative research from developing regions, including India.
Researchers from the Global South who presented papers at leading AI conferences in 2024 or 2025 can also submit poster proposals for the Global South Showcase. The submission deadline is October 31, 2025, and participants must send their final posters by January 5, 2026.
