New Delhi : Grokipedia beta launch is just two weeks away, confirmed Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Sunday. Musk announced that the early beta of Grokipedia, an xAI-built competitor to Wikipedia, will roll out soon, marking a major step toward his vision of building an AI-powered truth-based knowledge platform.
Musk retweeted a post by X user @amXFreeze, who described Grokipedia as “the world’s largest and most accurate knowledge source for humans and AI, with no limits on use.”
The tweet added that Grok uses powerful inference computing to analyse sources like Wikipedia pages and determine “what’s true, partially true, false, or missing.” It further noted that the AI will flag falsehoods, correct half-truths, and add missing context in its entries.
Supporters claim that Grokipedia will become the most reliable knowledge source because it’s built solely to uncover truth—free from bias or hidden agendas. “Elon never does anything halfway; he dives in completely,” the post said.
Musk has repeatedly criticised Wikipedia’s funding and editorial practices, arguing that Grokipedia will offer a more transparent, AI-driven alternative. His vision to use AI to “navigate to the truth” has sparked mixed reactions on X, with some users supporting his mission while others warn about potential bias in Grok’s training data.
Musk earlier stated that Grokipedia would represent a massive improvement over Wikipedia, aligning with xAI’s goal to understand the universe.
Recently, Musk also became the world’s first person to reach a net worth of $500 billion, with Oracle’s Larry Ellison ranking second. Meanwhile, his AI company xAI continues to expand, currently valued at $75 billion and aiming for a $200 billion valuation in future rounds.
