Mumbai : Fans of Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa have a reason to celebrate this Diwali. The release of their upcoming musical romantic drama, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’, has been moved to October 21, 2025, lighting up screens for the festive season.
Originally slated for October 2, the makers postponed the release to align with Diwali, hoping to match the film’s passionate storyline with the festival of lights. To mark the announcement, Harshvardhan shared the first look poster on Instagram, teasing audiences:
“Iss Diwali, diye hi nahi, Dil bhi jalenge… Mohabbat se takraayegi Nafrat, aag lagaayegi deewanon ki Deewaniyat. #EkDeewaneKiDeewaniyat teaser out tomorrow. In cinemas this Diwali- 21st Oct, 2025.”
Produced by Anshul Garg under Desi Music Factory and co-produced by Raghav Sharma, the film marks Garg’s debut as a feature film producer, following his success in the music industry.
Milap Milan Zaveri, who co-wrote and directs the film, said:
“This is a passionate love story at its core. Harshvardhan and Sonam’s chemistry is electrifying, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience it this Diwali.”
The film, previously titled ‘Deewaniyat’, has been rebranded to ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ after a shift in production from Vikir Films to Play DMF. The new title better reflects the updated vision, exploring love, obsession, and heartbreak.
Billed as an obsessive musical romance, the film will see Harshvardhan and Sonam share the screen for the first time. With high-voltage drama, heartfelt emotions, and a festive release, the makers aim to make it a Diwali box-office highlight.
