Balasore, Odisha : Nearly 20 days after a shocking suicide incident at Fakir Mohan College, Balasore, the Crime Branch has made a significant breakthrough by arresting two individuals believed to be the masterminds behind the tragic death of a college girl student.
One of the accused, Jyoti Prakash Biswal, is a student of the same college, while the second, Subhra Sambit Nayak, is reportedly not a student but has close affiliations with student politics. Nayak is currently serving as the State Co-Secretary of ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad), a student organization linked to the broader Sangh Parivar.
Both accused have been sent to 15-day judicial custody after being produced in court. With these arrests, the total number of people detained in connection to the case has reached four.
According to investigators, the accused not only encouraged the girl to take the extreme step but also recorded a mobile video during the act, intensifying the gravity of the crime. The video and other digital evidence reportedly played a pivotal role in cracking the case.
