The face-off is between Ex-BJD MLA and former minister Chandra Sarathi Behera and current BJP MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi of Cuttack Sadar constituency. A war of words has begun between both leaders over alleged corruption in Nischintakoili block of Cuttack.
Former minister Chandra Sarathi Behera has made serious allegations against current BJP MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi over corruption. Responding to the charges, Prakash Sethi also hit back at Behera with sharp words depending the corruption clash in Cuttack Nischintakoili.
As per reports, during a public meeting at Nischintakoili, former BJD MLA Chandra Sarathi Behera accused the ruling BJP government of massive corruption in various developmental works. Targeting Cuttack Sadar BJP MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, Behera said that officials and leaders under the BJP regime misused the funds meant for rural development, including drinking water, roads, and housing projects. He demanded a probe into the corruption allegations.
Responding to Behera’s charges, MLA Sethi stated that the allegations made by the former MLA are baseless, politically motivated, and aimed at misleading voters. Sethi countered that as a former MLA, Behera still suffers from a “power hangover.” He added that the government has accelerated all development projects compared to the previous regime. Officials now use funds properly, conduct audits regularly, and monitor progress at every level. Sethi emphasized that the Mohan government follows a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption and remains committed to maintaining transparent governance.
As the Nischintakoili block remains politically sensitive in Cuttack district, this word of war between the two leaders has triggered a new political storm in the constituency. The political landscape in Nischintakoili has heated up over corruption allegations.
