Bhubaneswar : In a landmark push toward inclusive and equitable growth, Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Majhi attended the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh, recognizing exemplary efforts under the Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks Programme (ADP/ABP). The event underscored the state’s commitment to bridging development gaps in its remotest regions.

The Sampoornata Abhiyan a focused intervention aligned with six key indicators: health, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, basic infrastructure, and skill development—has emerged as a milestone in the journey toward a “Samruddha Odisha” by 2036 and a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047.
This flagship initiative, rooted in the Centre’s 3C approach of Convergence, Collaboration, and Competition, is now active in 10 districts and 40 blocks across Odisha. The campaign aims to fast-track transformation through enhanced coordination between the Central and State Governments, local administration, and empowered community participation.
Nabarangpur and Malkangiri districts have proudly achieved 100% saturation across all identified indicators—bringing national recognition and immense pride to Odisha. Their success highlights the model’s effectiveness in translating policy into measurable progress.
With the NITI Aayog’s inclusion of 11 additional blocks from Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar, the programme’s footprint is rapidly expanding. Localized initiatives like Aakanksha Haat and Aakanksha Brand are being promoted to market indigenous products, furthering grassroots economic empowerment.
The Sampoornata Abhiyan is not just a government programme but a people-powered movement. By blending administrative focus with community ownership, Odisha is scripting a new chapter of development in aspirational regions that were long overlooked.
CM Majhi lauded the efforts of all stakeholders and reiterated the State’s resolve to ensure that no region is left behind in the march toward prosperity.
“This campaign is not just about numbers or awards—it’s about delivering dignity, opportunity, and empowerment to every citizen, no matter where they live,” said the Chief Minister during the award ceremony.
