Bhubaneswar, Odisha : Odisha hosted a state-level KPI workshop for “Viksit Odisha – Vision 2036 & 2047” at the State Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhavan. Organized by the Planning and Convergence Department in collaboration with the Strategic Support Unit (SSU) of the Chief Secretary’s Office, the workshop aimed to finalize a structured KPI framework for effective governance and monitoring.
Shri Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary of Odisha, inaugurated the workshop along with Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Commissioner-cum-Secretaries from various departments. Nodal Officers for the Vision Document and technical officers participated actively. Shri DK Jena, OSD cum Special Secretary, Planning and Convergence, welcomed the attendees and highlighted leadership contributions in drafting the Vision Document.
Delivering the keynote address, the Chief Secretary emphasized that Viksit Odisha Vision 2036 & 2047 sets an ambitious roadmap for Odisha to emerge as a growth engine for India by 2047. He stressed that a growth mindset and shared understanding across departments are essential to realize Viksit Odisha for Viksit Bharat.
The workshop aimed to collaboratively finalize a comprehensive KPI framework, a critical step in the implementation journey. Chief Secretary Ahuja highlighted accountability, robust monitoring, and announced a high-frequency, data-driven Chief Minister’s Dashboard to track progress. He further noted that the Vision’s success depends on the quality and relevance of KPIs, requiring leadership and deep domain expertise from all departments.
Three-member teams were formed in each Anchor Department, consisting of the Departmental Secretary, Nodal Officer for Vision 2036 & 2047, and a Senior Officer providing programmatic and technical inputs. ACSs, Principal Secretaries, and Commissioners underscored departmental ownership, convergence, and collaboration.
The SSU, led by Shri Ansuman Rath, demonstrated a four-tier KPI framework covering Outcomes, Outputs, Processes, and Sub-processes using the KPI Development Toolkit. The session concluded with discussions on next steps, KPI finalization, and integration into the Chief Minister’s Dashboard, ensuring strategic implementation for a Viksit Odisha.
