Mumbai : Actress and influencer Vahbiz Dorabjee recently opened up about her relationship status during an exclusive interview with IANS, revealing that she is currently single and prioritising personal growth.
“I’m focusing on myself, my lane, my growth. I’m very old-school when it comes to relationships. I believe in the 90s kind of love—loyalty, emotional availability, togetherness,” Vahbiz said. She expressed concern about the modern “swipe culture,” which she finds intimidating, adding, “I want someone who adds value to my life, who is my equal, ambitious yet family-oriented.”
Reflecting on her acting journey, Vahbiz said her first major break came with Pyaar Ki Ek Kahani around 2011. “I never intended to become an actor; I actually wanted to be a model. But due to family pressure, I didn’t want to return to Pune. One thing led to another, and I started giving auditions. That show happened, and I fell in love with acting. Fortunately, it was a superhit, and there’s been no looking back since,” she added.
Vahbiz also shared her perspective on the demanding nature of the television industry. “Television is a very challenging medium. When you sign up, you know the commitment required. Long hours, irregular food, and disturbed sleep take a toll on health. Today’s world requires a balanced and holistic lifestyle,” she said.
On whether reducing working hours for TV actors would help, she noted, “If that happens, it will be a blessing. It will not only improve performances but also the health of actors. Everyone will benefit.”
The actress’s candid discussion highlights her focus on maintaining emotional well-being, career growth, and balance, while staying true to her values and aspirations in the entertainment industry.
