Dehradun: On the grand occasion of Uttarakhand Foundation Day 2025, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami greeted the people of the state and urged everyone to pledge toward building a “harmonious, strong, and self-reliant Uttarakhand.”
Marking 25 years since Uttarakhand separated from Uttar Pradesh on November 9, 2000, the Chief Minister described the day as a symbol of the state’s remarkable journey from a people’s movement to a model of progress, faith, and sustainable growth.
In a video message, CM Dhami said, “It fills us with pride that in the last 25 years, Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has reached new milestones in health, education, tourism, culture, environment, and employment. These achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of our people.”
He credited the citizens and thousands of activists who fought for the creation of Uttarakhand. “Our cultural roots, language, and hardworking people show that Uttarakhand is a land of endless opportunities,” Dhami said.
The Chief Minister added, “On this silver jubilee celebration of Uttarakhand Foundation Day 2025, let us unite to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand one of the most respected and leading states in India.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dehradun to participate in the state’s Silver Jubilee celebrations. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several development projects worth over ₹8,140 crore, covering sectors such as irrigation, education, energy, sports, and urban development.
PM Modi also released ₹62 crore in financial support to more than 28,000 farmers under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, reinforcing his government’s commitment to strengthening Uttarakhand’s agriculture and economy.
