Bhubaneswar: A tractor was completely crushed after being hit by the Puri-Badrinath Express train near Madala, between Sakhigopal and Malatipatpur railway stations. The accident occurred when the tractor driver was attempting to cross the railway tracks.
According to reports, while trying to drive over the railway line, the tractor’s front wheels managed to cross, but the rear wheels got stuck in a ditch. The driver, realizing the vehicle was immobilized, rushed to call for help from nearby villagers. Tragically, during this time, the Puri-bound Badrinath Express approached at high speed and collided with the stranded tractor.
The impact was so severe that the tractor was completely mangled and destroyed. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
Government Railway Police (GRP) from Puri swiftly reached the spot and have launched an investigation into the incident.
