Hyderabad: The Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, along with top political leaders, joined the nation in applauding the India women’s team World Cup win. They called it a historic and inspirational achievement.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy hailed the team’s dominant performance against South Africa. He said they have written a golden chapter in world cricket and inspired millions of young Indians.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu praised the team on social media. He described their determination and teamwork as “a source of pride for 140 crore Indians.” Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan described the victory as a “moment that will define Indian women’s cricket for generations.”
He lauded Shafali Verma’s fiery innings and Deepti Sharma’s all-round brilliance, while also celebrating the team’s unity and grit. Nara Lokesh, Andhra’s IT Minister, highlighted the contribution of local player Sree Charani, calling her a rising star.
Former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also congratulated the team. He noted that their composure and confidence turned the final into a celebration of women’s power in sports.
From K.T. Rama Rao to K. Kavitha, Telangana leaders echoed the same pride. The India women’s team World Cup win has not only brought glory to the nation but also ignited hope among aspiring young athletes across India.
