Dillip Kumar Pani wins President post in Talcher Truck Owners’ Association election 2025–27 with 467-vote margin

Talcher, Odisha : The much-awaited Talcher Truck Owners’ Election 2025–27 has finally concluded with the official announcement of results. The voting took place on September 27, 2025, at the Truck Owners’ Association office in Hatatota, Talcher, through ballot papers. Moreover, the counting of votes was held peacefully on September 28, 2025, amid tight police security to maintain law and order.

Out of 1,324 registered voters, a total of 1,063 members cast their votes, showing a strong participation in the election.

📍President Result :

The contest for the President’s post witnessed three candidates—Dillip Kumar Pani, Jitendra Kumar Bhutia, and Purna Chandra Sahu. In the end, Dillip Kumar Pani emerged victorious with 721 votes, while his nearest rival Jitendra Kumar Bhutia secured 254 votes. Consequently, Pani won by a significant margin of 467 votes. Meanwhile, Purna Chandra Sahu managed to secure only 30 votes.

📌General Secretary Result :

Similarly, the fight for the General Secretary’s post saw Prakash Chandra Maharana securing 611 votes. Therefore, he defeated his nearest competitor by an impressive margin of 424 votes.

🛠️Other Office Bearers :

Furthermore, the following members were elected to key posts:

  • Working President: Niranjan Pradhan

  • Vice Presidents: Amulya Ratna Bhutia, Arjun Kumar Sahu, Srihari Sethi

  • Joint Secretaries: Jitendra Kumar Raut, Subrata Sahu, Dibyaranjan Gadnayak

  • Treasurer: Madan Mohan Mohapatra

  • Auditor: Saroj Kumar Sahu

  • Executive Members: Suresh Chandra Sahu, Arjun Pradhan, Ganeshwar Satapathy, Bapendra Singh, Manoranjan Das, MD Sagir, Ripon Kumar Sahu, Srinibas Pradhan, Sudhir Ranjan Pradhan

Finally, the vote counting attracted a huge gathering of truck owners. As a result, they celebrated the victory of their chosen candidates by bursting crackers and playing drums.

With this, the Talcher Truck Owners’ Association has successfully elected its new leadership for the 2025–27 term, ensuring stronger representation of truck operators’ voices in the region.
