Talcher,Odisha: The spiritual city of Talcher is glowing with festive lights and divine energy as Talcher Kartikeswar Puja 2025 begins today. Devotees across the city are all set to worship Baba Kartikeshwar and Radha-Krishna at nearly 25 beautifully decorated mandaps, spreading joy and devotion all around.

To ensure peace and order during the celebrations, IIC Digvijay Biswal chaired a coordination meeting at the Talcher Police Station. Officials directed puja committees to install CCTV cameras and fire extinguishers at every mandap and strictly banned DJs during the grand immersion (Bhasani) procession.

This year’s puja will continue for nine days, ending with the grand Bhasani on Monday, November 10, 2025, starting from 1:00 PM. Before the procession begins, devotees will witness the much-awaited auction of the 71 kg Laddu of Baba Kartikeshwar at 11:00 AM a tradition that draws huge excitement every year.

More than 25 puja committees will participate in the grand immersion, following a fair order decided through a lottery system. The Naba mishra Colony Puja Committee will lead the procession, followed by others including All Round Puja Committee, Chitrakoot Bazaar, Paika Sahi, Jai Maa Hingula Badadanda Sahi, Bapuji Nagar, and many more vibrant groups.

The Talcher Kartikeswar Puja 2025 celebrations reflect the city’s unity, discipline, and deep faith. Local dignitaries like SDPO Bharat Chandra Sahu, Central Committee President Devi Mishra, General Secretary Prakash Maharana, Vice-President Keshav Bhutia, Treasurer Bida Das, Naresh Agarwal, Anand Maharana, Ranjan Bhutia, Sukant Ray, Aju Das, Ajit Das, Sidheswar Kuanr, Sarbeswar Kuanr, and Sunil Singh were present and extended their cooperation in the said meeting.
