In a significant move, the government will disburse financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana on March 8, 2025, marking International Women’s Day. This move will provide a double benefit through the Subhadra Yojana Double Benefit on Women’s Day.
Deputy Chief Minister and Women & Child Development Minister Pravati Parida announced the decision during the Subhadra Shakti Mela in Bhubaneswar. On this special occasion, eligible women will receive two installments at once as a Women’s Day gift.

District administrations will run awareness campaigns to inform women about the application process. They will also set up special help desks and facilitation centers to assist applicants.
