Bhubaneswar, Odisha : The Subhadra Grievance Module has been officially launched in Odisha to strengthen transparency, accountability, and timely redressal of complaints under the state’s flagship Subhadra scheme. Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida inaugurated the module, stating that no eligible beneficiary will be deprived of support through Subhadra.
The initiative, introduced by the Department of Women and Child Development, will simplify and expedite the complaint resolution process for beneficiaries. Issues such as application rejection or denial of benefits will be swiftly reviewed and addressed through this digital system.
Under the new module, complaints submitted online via the Subhadra portal or offline at government levels will first be examined by the Block Level Scrutiny Committee or Urban Level Scrutiny Committee. If required, cases will be forwarded for field verification. Based on the reports, final decisions on eligibility will be made at the District Level Scrutiny Committee or the Municipal Corporation Level Scrutiny Committee.
Beneficiaries can also track the status of their complaints through the Subhadra portal, ensuring transparency. Currently, over 1.09 crore applications have been registered under the Subhadra scheme, with more than one crore women already benefitting. As of now, 2,83,264 complaints remain pending and will be processed under the new grievance module.
The launch event was attended by Women and Child Development Department Director Monisha Banerjee, OKAC CEO Pradeep Kumar Raut, Additional Secretary Krittibas Raut, and other senior officials.
The Subhadra Grievance Module is expected to become a key pillar in ensuring smooth access to welfare for women across Odisha.
