Mumbai : Actress Shilpa Shetty celebrated her husband Raj Kundra’s 50th birthday on Tuesday, posting a heartfelt note on Instagram calling him her “darling cookie.” She prayed for his protection and blessings and wished him happiness, good health, and success.
Shilpa shared two pictures and a video of Raj, showing him offering prayers. In her caption, she wrote:
“My darling Cookie, On this milestone birthday, I pray you always stay blessed and protected. We’re so lucky to have you in our lives. Wishing you miles of smiles, great health and success Rab MEHAR kare.”
The couple got engaged in February 2009 and married on 22 November 2009. They co-own the Rajasthan Royals IPL team. They have a son, born on 21 May 2012, and a daughter, born via surrogacy on 15 February 2020.
Raj recently starred in the Punjabi film “Mehar”, which tells the story of Karamjit, a man from rural Punjab who fights to reclaim his dignity as a father, husband, and son.
Shilpa and Raj also performed Sukhmani Sahib Paath at their home to seek blessings for the film’s success.
Shilpa appeared last in “Sukhee”, directed by Sonal Joshi, a humorous tale of 38-year-old Punjabi housewife Sukhpreet “Sukhee” Kalra attending her high school reunion in Delhi.
She will next star in “KD: The Devil”, a Kannada action drama directed by Prem. The film features Dhruva Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and Nora Fatehi.
