Bhubaneswar, Odisha : Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Pension Minister Pruthwiraj Harichandan reviewed the preparations for the Second National Mediation Workshop, scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar on 28 September.
During the meeting at his office chamber in Lok Seva Bhawan, Minister Harichandan discussed the arrival schedule of guests, accommodation arrangements, and overall workshop logistics. He emphasized providing a warm welcome for ministers, judges, law secretaries, advocates general, legal experts, and other dignitaries from across India.
The Minister also advised organizing cultural programs at the accommodation venue to highlight Odisha’s rich heritage. These programs will include a handloom exhibition showcasing Odisha’s textiles, handicrafts, and artistic creations, ensuring guests experience the state’s unique art, culture, and tourism offerings.
Senior officials attending the meeting included Law Department Secretary Shri Manas Ranjan Barik, Additional Police Commissioner Narasingh Bhol, Independent Secretary of Commerce and Transport Suranjita Jena, Additional Secretary of Law Shri Shivprasad Mahapatra, and Director of Bhubaneswar Airport Authority Shri Prasanna Pradhan.
Minister Harichandan guided the officials on coordinating workshop sessions, guest facilitation, and cultural programs, ensuring a seamless experience for participants. The workshop aims to bring together legal experts and policymakers from across India to discuss mediation practices while promoting Odisha’s cultural heritage and craftsmanship.
With these preparations, Odisha is set to host a successful National Mediation Workshop, combining professional dialogue with an immersive showcase of its traditional arts and hospitality. The event reflects the state’s commitment to promoting legal excellence and cultural pride simultaneously.
