Jaipur, Koraput, Odisha : Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi marked the Raksha Bandhan festivities with a special outreach, blending tradition with governance. At Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir in Aravind Nagar, students tied rakhis on the CM’s wrist, symbolizing the bond of trust and unity.
The event saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Ministers Prabhati Parida, Nityananda Gond, Gokulananda Mallik, and MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati, among others.
Addressing the gathering, CM Majhi called the Raksha Bandhan celebrations “truly unique” and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building a prosperous Odisha that plays a pivotal role in a developed India. He highlighted ongoing initiatives targeting four key sections of society, with special emphasis on delivering welfare schemes to the southern regions, including Jaipur.
In a major announcement, the CM launched the distribution of the third installment of the Subhadra scheme. Over one crore beneficiaries across Odisha will receive the funds, with more than 15 beneficiaries personally receiving their share from the CM during the event.
“Our goal is to ensure that every citizen feels the reach of our government’s schemes, especially in the southern districts. Raksha Bandhan is about protection, and today we extend that spirit through action,” Majhi said.
