New Delhi : On the occasion of World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the National Commission for Women (NCW) entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening efforts to prevent human trafficking and other crimes against women and children.
The MoU focuses on the capacity building of RPF personnel, equipping them with enhanced skills and training to identify, prevent, and respond effectively to such crimes, especially within the railways — a key transit point often misused by traffickers.
In a related development, the NCW also released a special anti-human trafficking booklet, providing critical insights and awareness tools to support stakeholders and the public in the fight against trafficking.
This collaborative initiative marks a major step towards building a safer and more responsive railway environment for women and vulnerable populations across the country.
