Deogarh, Odisha : Deogarh’s Riamal forest is witnessing a surge of excitement and concern after forest officials reported a royal tiger spotted in the area. Locals have long shared rumors of a prowling tiger, but for the first time, paw prints have appeared, giving tangible evidence of the predator’s presence.

The tracks were discovered near Babaji Math village, close to the Jharamunda forest. Upon receiving the alert, the forest department quickly collected samples of the paw prints for expert verification. A specialized team is now actively investigating the markings to track the tiger’s movements.
Over the past few days, villagers had occasionally reported tiger sightings in the Riamal forest, prompting the forest department to increase surveillance. Authorities have installed trap cameras at strategic locations to monitor the majestic tiger’s activity closely. Additionally, a dedicated patrol team has been formed to regularly survey the area and ensure public safety.
The appearance of paw prints has understandably caused fear among locals. Forest officials have advised residents to remain cautious, avoid letting domestic animals roam freely, and stay vigilant while moving near the forest.
Though no confirmed photos or videos of the tiger have emerged, several locals claim to have spotted it at different times. The forest department continues to maintain high alert, monitoring the tiger’s movements and ensuring both human and animal safety.
With the royal tiger spotted, authorities emphasize the importance of vigilance and responsible behavior, aiming to preserve wildlife while protecting local communities.
