Bhubaneswar, Odisha : Odisha Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari has said that the state government is in regular touch with the Centre over the long-standing Kotia border dispute with Andhra Pradesh. Emphasising the humanitarian dimension of the issue, Pujari pointed out that the root cause lies in Odisha’s services not reaching Kotia residents, allowing the Andhra Pradesh government to fill the gap with its own welfare schemes.
He noted that Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida recently visited Kotia to review the Subhadra Yojana survey, while the Food Supplies Minister is scheduled to visit soon regarding ration card distribution. Pujari himself has toured the area, documenting the challenges faced by locals.
The state government, he said, is now planning special initiatives to ensure higher education opportunities for Kotia’s youth. “In the days ahead, the people of Kotia will receive such care and benefits from the Odisha government that the Andhra Pradesh government can never match,” Pujari asserted.
