Boudh, Odisha: The district of Boudh came alive with patriotic energy as hundreds participated in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Unity Run held at the District Stadium to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
District Collector Bibhuti Bhushan Nayak inaugurated the grand event by waving the green flag, marking the start of the unity run. The event witnessed the presence of Additional District Magistrate Aniruddha Pradhan, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer Prabhas Chandra Dandasana, Additional SP Sarthak Ray, Deputy Collector Binay Kumar Bhoi, SDPO Lawrence Rautray, and Boudh IIC Nalini Kant Das, among several other officials from various departments.
The unity run began from the District Stadium and passed through Wireless Chhak, Post Office Chhak, Bhairabi Chhak, Gandhi Chhak, Bagaguda Chhak, Hatisala Chhak, and Jamu Chhak before returning to the stadium premises. Students from various schools and colleges, members of the police and ambulance departments, public representatives, intellectuals, and enthusiastic locals participated with full patriotic fervor.
During the event, Deputy Collector Lipsa Bharati highlighted the significance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and its importance in promoting national unity and integrity. The District Collector led the gathering in taking the solemn oath to uphold the nation’s unity, integrity, and security with true dedication.
The event was smoothly coordinated by Dr. Prabir Dash, a lecturer from Boudh Panchayat College, while Assistant Collector Akrura Kumar Jani supervised the overall arrangements ensuring its grand success.
All deputy collectors, assistant collectors, and staff members from the Collector’s office extended their active cooperation, making the unity run a symbol of collective spirit and togetherness. The vibrant participation and discipline showcased during the event truly reflected the essence of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.
