Talcher: The spirit of unity and nationalism filled the air at Ananta DAV Public School, Jagannath Area, Talcher, as students and teachers came together to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with enthusiasm and pride. The event honored the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, whose vision and leadership united the nation.
The celebration began with the School Principal, Shubhendu Shekhar Bose, offering floral tributes and lighting the ceremonial lamp before Sardar Patel’s portrait. Soon after, the school choir presented a melodious welcome song, which set a patriotic tone for the entire event.
Moreover, in his inspiring address, the Principal highlighted the life and contributions of Sardar Patel, urging students to carry forward his message of unity and integrity. Meanwhile, student Arpita Nayak delivered a moving speech on memorable events from the Iron Man’s life, which received thunderous applause from the audience.
Additionally, teacher Sabnam Mallik skillfully hosted the program, while Manas Ranjan Mishra expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants. A special quiz competition on national integration, coordinated by Sabita Prabha Panda, further tested students’ knowledge about India’s unity and history.
Furthermore, Sarita Sahu led the unity pledge, reaffirming the students’ commitment to uphold the values of oneness and harmony in society. Afterward, winners of the quiz and other activities were felicitated by the chairman for their achievements.
