New Delhi : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh delivered a strong message at a public gathering in Raisen, highlighting India’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism, rapid development, and strides in defence self-reliance.
Singh emphasized that India judges terrorists by their actions, not religion. “Terrorists came here, asking people’s religion before killing them. We have decided — we will never kill anyone after asking their religion. We will judge them by their actions and punish accordingly,” he said.
To illustrate, Singh referenced the Ramayana, recalling how Sita questioned Hanuman in Lanka about the havoc he had caused. Hanuman humbly replied, “I only killed those who had harmed our people.” Singh used this story to stress that justice must remain principle-based, not prejudiced.
The Defence Minister also addressed concerns about India’s growing global influence. “Some people — and some countries — are not happy with India’s rapid progress. They are trying to make Indian products expensive so the world doesn’t buy them. But India is advancing so fast that no power in the world can stop it from becoming a major force,” he said.
Singh’s remarks reinforce India’s firm stance on national security, its commitment to justice, and confidence in the country’s economic and defence growth. The rally highlighted the government’s vision for a strong, self-reliant India capable of safeguarding its citizens while continuing to thrive globally.
