Jharsuguda : Rajesh Das has been reappointed as the President of the Kolabira Mandal unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jharsuguda district. His appointment was confirmed through official letter number BJPOL-278/25 dated May 27, 2025, issued by BJP Odisha State President Manmohan Samal, and communicated to Jharsuguda District President Raghunandan Panda.

Rajesh Das had previously served as the Mandal President during the last Odisha Assembly elections, under whose leadership BJP made significant inroads in the Kolabira block. The party secured a strong performance, with BJP candidate Tankadhar Tripathy winning from the Jharsuguda constituency.

Following the end of his previous tenure, Das had been serving as acting president. However, persistent demands from party workers across all panchayats of Kolabira for his reinstatement led to his official reappointment.
