Rahul Gandhi unemployment claims have sparked fresh debate as he warned that India is facing its highest joblessness in 45 years. Speaking at a political rally, Gandhi highlighted the struggles of young Indians in securing employment and suggested that the rising unemployment could influence voter sentiment. His statements have drawn attention to the economic slowdown and growing concerns over government policies on jobs.
New Delhi : Firing a fresh salvo at the Centre, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said India’s youth face a bleak future because of rising unemployment under the current government.
Moreover, taking to X, Gandhi slammed the Modi government for ignoring youth unemployment. He directly linked it to vote fraud and ‘vote chori’.
“The biggest problem for youth in India is unemployment – and it is directly linked to vote theft,” he wrote in the post on X.
Furthermore, he added that whenever any government wins people’s trust, it must provide employment and opportunities. Gandhi accused the BJP of failing in this duty.
“BJP does not win elections honestly. They stay in power by stealing votes and controlling institutions. That is why unemployment has reached its highest level in 45 years,” he alleged.
Additionally, he said jobs are declining, recruitment processes have collapsed, and the youth’s future is at risk.
He further claimed the government prioritises businessmen and billionaires over youth. As a result, this neglect has dashed young people’s hopes.
Gandhi shared a video showing multiple police lathi charges on protesting students.
Consequently, he stressed that the nation’s youth now realise they must fight vote theft. He called it the real challenge before them.
“As long as elections continue to be stolen, unemployment and corruption will rise. Hence, the youth will not tolerate the looting of jobs or vote theft,” he said, urging public support.
“Freeing India from unemployment and vote theft is now the greatest act of patriotism,” he concluded.
Gandhi’s statements linking unemployment and vote theft aim to mobilise unemployed youths ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
Meanwhile, Congress has intensified its claims on ‘vote chori’ ahead of state elections. Rahul recently held his second press conference on electoral malpractices and warned of ‘big disclosures’ under the imminent hydrogen bomb threat.
