Patna: Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a Mahagathbandhan rally in Aurangabad, alleging that the Centre promotes a “reels culture” to distract youth from unemployment and social issues. During the rally, Rahul Gandhi criticises PM Modi for various policies.
“Modi tells you to make reels instead of demanding jobs. Every reel you make benefits his industrialist friends,” Gandhi said, accusing the government of keeping youth engaged in entertainment rather than addressing real problems like job scarcity, education, health, and paper leaks.
He likened the obsession with reels to “a new form of intoxication” and criticised the collapse of Bihar’s healthcare system, saying thousands of patients from Bihar sleep outside AIIMS Delhi seeking treatment. Here again, Rahul Gandhi criticises PM Modi, focusing on healthcare issues.
Targeting the Centre over the Agniveer scheme, Gandhi said it deprived young Indians of secure Army careers and denied martyr status to those killed in service. He further alleged that PM Modi’s policies, including privatization of PSUs, hurt employment opportunities for Dalit, OBC, and poor communities, continuing his streak where Rahul Gandhi criticises PM Modi.
The Congress leader also mocked PM Modi’s recent Chhath Puja appearance as “drama” and accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of turning the state’s youth into migrant laborers.
Recalling the glory of Nalanda University, Gandhi promised to establish a world-class university in Bihar if the Grand Alliance forms the government. He concluded by accusing the BJP of “vote theft” and warned that undermining the Constitution would only serve the Prime Minister and his corporate allies. Overall, this was another instance where Rahul Gandhi slams PM Modi.
