New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu on Friday led the nation in paying heartfelt homage to India’s first Deputy Prime Minister and the legendary “Iron Man,” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on his 150th birth anniversary. This event was marked by President Murmu’s tribute to Sardar Patel. The day, celebrated across the country as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day), highlighted Patel’s unmatched role in uniting India’s diverse regions.
In her post on X, President Murmu tribute to Sardar Patel came with a powerful appeal to the citizens. She wrote,
“Sardar Patel was a great patriot, visionary leader, and nation-builder who accomplished the historic task of unifying the country through his unwavering resolve and courageous leadership.
