With Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Jharsuguda just days away, top state officials descended on the district today to oversee preparations for the high-profile event.

The visit, set for September 27, 2025, is generating buzz among BJP workers and locals, with a festive atmosphere building in party circles.

The Prime Minister is expected to arrive at Jharsuguda Airport around 11 AM on the 27th and head straight to the rally venue at Amalipali ground. The one-hour program will include the foundation stone-laying and inauguration of several key projects, followed by an address to a youth gathering.

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, who led the inspection team, shared these details in a media briefing, emphasizing the event’s focus on youth empowerment and development initiatives.

Earlier today, around 11:30 AM, a high-level team comprising Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, and Police ADG Santosh Barla arrived via special flight at Jharsuguda Airport. They proceeded directly to the proposed rally site for a thorough review. Accompanying them were Northern Revenue Commissioner Sachin Ramchandra Yadav, Police IG Himanshu Lal, District Collector Kunal Motiram Chauhan, SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, IAS officer Arvind Agrawal, and the Works Secretary.

The team meticulously examined all aspects of the event, from the Prime Minister’s travel route to parking arrangements and crowd management. Special attention was given to ensuring a seamless experience for attendees, with instructions issued to the administration to prioritize safety, convenience, and efficiency. “We are committed to making this a successful and hassle-free event,” Pujari stated, highlighting the collaborative efforts between state officials and local authorities.

The visit comes amid heightened enthusiasm within the BJP ranks, with party workers expressing joy over the opportunity to host the Prime Minister. This rally is seen as a boost for the party’s outreach in western Odisha, particularly among the youth, as Modi is slated to deliver a motivational speech tailored to young audiences.

As preparations intensify, security protocols are being tightened, and logistical arrangements are being fine-tuned to accommodate the expected large turnout. The event underscores Odisha’s growing role in national development projects under the Modi government.

Stay tuned for more updates as the date approaches.
