Bhubneswar, Odisha : After the 2024 General Election, the political scenario of Odisha has been changing from time to time. With this, both party leaders are engaging in a political slugfest with each other. The Pratap Sarangi Lekhashri clash has intensified in Balasore, as BJP Parliamentarian and former Union Minister Pratap Sarangi and BJD leader Lekhashri Samantsinghar exchange words on several issues.
Word of war has seen during public meeting in Balasore. BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi fired back at biting remarks made by BJD leader Lekhasri Samantsinghar. The clash reflects a personal jibes fueling the battle for local voters.
As per report Lekhasri Samantsinghar targeted Pratap Sarangi during party’s Jana sampark Padayatra .She said that:
“Mr.Sarangi only speaks infront of camera. He likes to speak more than work.The voice of Lekhashri was unfiltered”.
Responding to the Lekhashri’s allegation Pratap Sarangi stated that
Lekhashri had switched parties three times and even quit her job in pursuit of a party ticket. He claimed that both Lekhashri and her husband had approached him for a BJP ticket but turned adversarial after being denied. Sarangi dismissed her remarks, calling her an opportunist.
Expert opines that political and personal targets of both leaders reflecting political enmity. It has become talking points in district as well as state politics.
