Jharsuguda, Odisha: In a major breakthrough, Jharsuguda Police arrested all accused within 24 hours of a shocking vandalism incident inside the Jhadeswar Temple premises.
According to reports, around 8 to 9 miscreants entered the temple area late Wednesday night and damaged bamboo stalls and several banners. The group even removed a CCTV camera before fleeing the spot. Such acts escalate the Jhadeswar Temple vandalism problem.
The next morning, the temple committee lodged a formal complaint at Town Police Station after reviewing CCTV footage. Considering the sensitive nature of the Jhadeswar Temple vandalism case, police launched a swift investigation and soon identified the culprits.
Within hours, seven youths and two minors all under 20 were taken into custody. The prompt action by police against the Jhadeswar Temple incident has been widely appreciated by locals.
Sources said negligence by parents might have led to such unruly behavior among the youngsters. Meanwhile, police have increased surveillance around the temple to prevent further disturbances.
