New Delhi: On Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again led the nation in paying glowing tribute to India’s Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, at the majestic Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. The occasion marked Patel’s 150th birth anniversary and celebrated his lifelong efforts to unify India’s diverse regions.
During the grand ceremony, PM Modi tribute at Statue of Unity became the centrepiece of the national celebrations. Moreover, the event featured a spectacular parade and cultural performances that beautifully showcased India’s unity in diversity. Through these displays, the message of national integration echoed across the nation.
While addressing the gathering, PM Modi took the Ekta Shapath (Unity Oath), pledging to protect the country’s unity and integrity. He solemnly declared,
“I take this oath to safeguard the unity and integrity of our country and dedicate myself fully to this cause.”
In addition, he emphasized that true patriotism lies in preserving harmony and strengthening the spirit of oneness among citizens. Furthermore, he urged every Indian to uphold Patel’s ideals in their daily lives.
Earlier in the morning, the Prime Minister offered prayers and floral tributes at the towering statue. Afterward, he witnessed the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Parade, which included contingents from the BSF, CRPF, and various state police forces, symbolizing strength through collective service.
In a heartfelt post on X, Modi wrote, “India pays homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th Jayanti. He was the driving force behind India’s integration and remains an inspiration for generations.”
Additionally, the Prime Minister described Patel as “the architect of India’s integration,” highlighting his extraordinary ability to unite people across regions and ideologies. Consequently, the tribute reflected both respect for Patel’s legacy and commitment to his dream of a united India.
Across the nation, citizens participated in Run for Unity events, cultural parades, and community gatherings. As a result, the spirit of solidarity and national pride was visible in every corner of the country.
