New Delhi : Actor and fitness icon Milind Soman expressed his admiration for PM Modi fitness while launching the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s (BJYM) ‘Namo Yuva Run’ campaign in New Delhi to mark the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday. Soman highlighted the significance of staying active and healthy, praising the Prime Minister’s personal commitment to fitness as an inspiration for youth across India.

The launch event at the BJP headquarters was attended by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, BJYM President and MP Tejasvi Surya, and other party leaders. Soman highlighted the broader essence of fitness, stating, “Fitness means—in the midst of all the pressure in life—staying active. If you are able to do what you need to do, what you are meant to do, that is a true measure of fitness. Only building biceps or six-pack abs is not fitness.”

He praised the scale of the initiative, calling it “amazing” to see 10 lakh participants running simultaneously across India. “Not only in India but across the world, this is the first-of-its-kind run at such a scale. Doing it once is not enough. Consistency is the key to change,” Soman added.

The actor also connected the campaign to social responsibility, emphasizing youth engagement in a drug-free, healthy lifestyle. “The country and the world are united in the fight against drugs,” he said, underlining the importance of fitness in promoting positive living.

BJYM chief Tejasvi Surya announced that the ‘Namo Yuva Run’ will take place on September 21 across 75 locations, with 10,000–15,000 youth participating at each venue, totaling nearly one million participants. The campaign aims to mobilize young Indians nationwide, creating the biggest and most participative run in the country while honoring PM Modi’s 75th birthday.

By linking fitness to civic participation, BJYM hopes to inspire young people to embrace health, discipline, and social responsibility, reflecting PM Modi’s vision of a fit and vibrant India.
