Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta posted, “On the seventh day of Navratri, the worship of Maa Kaalratri holds special significance. This form of Maa Durga teaches us that with faith and courage, we can overcome every darkness and achieve victory.”
In addition, she said, “We pray to Maa Kaalratri and seek her blessings to destroy all negative forces, allowing peace, harmony, and new energy to flourish in society. May all devotees receive the boon of Maa’s boundless strength and fearlessness.”
The name “Kaalratri” is a fusion of “kaal,” which means time or death, and “ratri,” which means night, darkness, or ignorance. Therefore, Kaalratri embodies the force that ends darkness, signifying the emergence of light and wisdom.
Devotees recognize Goddess Maa Kaalratri as the most fearsome manifestation, and her dark complexion reflects her intense and unyielding nature. Moreover, artists depict Maa Kaalratri with four arms, showing her as the embodiment of both fear and protection.
Her upper right hand bestows boons upon devotees, while her lower right hand offers protection and fearlessness. In addition, she wields a sword in her upper left hand and carries an iron club in her lower left hand to vanquish evil forces.
Finally, Navratri is being celebrated all over the country with great devotion. Thousands of devotees have been thronging temples to offer prayers, reflecting their faith and reverence.
