New Delhi: Extending his PM Modi Dev Deepawali wishes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the nation on Kartik Purnima and Dev Deepawali. He hopes that the festival’s sacred traditions bring light, joy, and peace to every home.

Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “Warm greetings to all on Kartik Purnima and Dev Deepawali. May this divine occasion, rooted in Indian culture and spirituality, bring happiness, health, and good fortune to everyone. May our sacred traditions of holy bathing, charity, aarti, and worship illuminate everyone’s lives.”

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister Prahlad Joshi also conveyed wishes. They prayed for peace and prosperity across the nation.

Dev Deepawali, known as the “Diwali of the Gods,” is celebrated with great devotion on Kartik Purnima. The ghats of Varanasi, Haridwar, and Rishikesh shine with thousands of diyas. Devotees take holy dips in the Ganga, perform aarti, and offer prayers to honor the deities.

The festival marks the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. In Varanasi, ghats like Dashashwamedh, Assi, and Raj Ghat turn into glowing landscapes. Priests chant hymns, while devotees float lamps on the Ganga’s shimmering waters.

PM Modi’s message captures the essence of the festival unity, faith, and spiritual illumination for all.
