Cuttack ,Odisha : In anticipation of the PM Modi Brahmapur visit on 27th September 2025, the Odisha government has intensified preparations to ensure a smooth and secure event. Commerce, Transport, Mines, and Steel Minister Bhubuti Bhushan Jena and Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania led state officials in detailed planning sessions, reviewing logistics, security, and crowd management. Authorities expect large public gatherings, prompting them to deploy robust security measures across Brahmapur and surrounding areas.

Earlier today, the DGP personally inspected the Rangeilunda Airstrip, where the Prime Minister will land. Officials reviewed traffic management, parking arrangements, and the deployment of security forces to handle the crowd efficiently. They focused on preventing potential threats, including terror-related incidents, and ordered strict monitoring of hotels, lodges, and public spaces. The administration aims to protect attendees and ensure smooth coordination among multiple departments during the PM’s visit.

Security teams also visited MKCG Hospital and met SOG personnel, praising jawans like Prem Singh Majhi, who demonstrated bravery during anti-Maoist operations despite being injured. Officials offered support to his family and emphasized the importance of safeguarding personnel who protect citizens. Hospital staff briefed authorities on emergency response protocols for the Prime Minister’s visit.

Following the inspections, senior officials convened review meetings at the Brahmapur District Police Headquarters and Ganjam District Superintendent of Police office. They evaluated the law and order situation, recent crime trends, and ongoing anti-crime operations, including anti-narcotics and anti-theft measures. Police officers, including SDPOs, additional SPs, and department heads, received instructions to coordinate closely and prepare operational blueprints to ensure a crime-free environment during the high-profile visit.

With the PM scheduled to land at Rangeilunda Airstrip and proceed to nearby venues, authorities have strengthened perimeter security, established emergency response teams, and briefed all personnel on their duties. The administration’s meticulous planning highlights Odisha’s commitment to executing the PM Modi Brahmapur visit safely, allowing citizens to participate confidently while maintaining strict law and order.
