New Delhi : PM Modi Arunachal projects will see the Prime Minister inaugurate several development initiatives in the state on Monday. He will also unveil the redeveloped temple in Tripura, highlighting his focus on infrastructure and cultural heritage in Northeast India.
The Prime Minister will first visit Arunachal Pradesh. He will lay the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 5,100 crore at Itanagar and address a public gathering.
To harness hydroelectric potential and promote sustainable energy, he will also lay the foundation stone for two major hydropower projects worth over Rs 3,700 crore in Itanagar. The Heo Hydro Electric Project (240 MW) and Tato-I Hydro Electric Project (186 MW) will develop in the Siyom sub-basin, according to a government press release.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Convention Centre in Tawang. Located at over 9,820 feet, the centre will host national and international conferences, cultural festivals, and exhibitions. With a capacity of 1,500 delegates, it will meet global standards and boost tourism and culture in the region.
The Prime Minister will also launch key infrastructure projects worth over Rs 1,290 crore. These projects cover connectivity, health, fire safety, and working women’s hostels. They aim to stimulate economic activity, improve quality of life, and enhance regional connectivity.
He will meet local taxpayers, traders, and industry representatives to discuss the recent GST rate rationalisation. This aligns with his vision of ensuring ease of doing business and promoting entrepreneurship.
After Arunachal Pradesh, PM Modi will travel to Tripura. There, he will inaugurate the ‘Mata Tripura Sundari Temple Complex’ at Matabari under the PRASAD scheme. The temple, one of 51 ancient Shakti Peethas in Udaipur town, Gomati district, reflects his commitment to preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.
The project, shaped like a tortoise from above, includes new pathways, renovated entrances, improved drainage, and a three-storied complex with stalls, meditation hall, guest accommodations, and offices. It will boost tourism, create jobs, generate business opportunities, and support socio-economic development in the region.
