Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda to a rousing welcome from crowds and folk artists performing traditional dances.
Landing before 11 a.m., the PM received chants and cheers from the crowd as he conducted a roadshow, marking his visit to Odisha for a major youth rally and the launch of extensive development initiatives.

From the airport, Modi proceeded directly to Amlipali ground to address the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Yuva Samavesh – a grand event designed to engage the youth of Odisha. The rally has drawn significant excitement, with locals expressing pride in hosting the Prime Minister and highlighting the boost to regional development.
During the event, PM Modi will inaugurate projects worth approximately Rs 50,000–60,000 crore, including the commissioning of over 97,500 4G telecom towers constructed using BSNL’s indigenous ‘swadeshi’ technology.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi personally oversaw preparations for the visit, ensuring elaborate arrangements at the airport and venue. Authorities have tightened security, while folk performers added a cultural flair to the proceedings.
The visit comes amid growing enthusiasm in Jharsuguda, with residents and BJP supporters flocking to catch a glimpse of the PM. Even a local Modi lookalike attended the event and expressed joy at the invitation.
