Nimapada/Bhubaneswar : On the occasion of PM Modi 75th Birthday, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida led a series of service programs in Puri district. She marked the day with a cleanliness drive, tricycle distribution, a women’s health campaign, and tree plantation activities.
The day began with a cleanliness drive at Ward No. 9 of Nimapada NAC, where Parida personally joined local residents in sweeping streets and spreading awareness. She emphasized that keeping the environment clean is not just the responsibility of the government but also a collective duty of every citizen. A street play staged by local artists highlighting the importance of cleanliness drew special appreciation from her.
Following the drive, the Deputy CM distributed tricycles to differently-abled persons at the Nimapada Panchayat Samiti office. She underlined the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and ensuring mobility for all sections of society.
Later, Parida launched the “Healthy Women – Empowered Family” campaign in alignment with Prime Minister Modi’s initiative from Madhya Pradesh. The launch took place at the Community Health Centre in Charichhak, where she stressed that women are the backbone of families, and their health directly impacts household well-being. The campaign aims to spread awareness on women’s health, conduct special medical camps, and reach women and adolescent girls at every block, panchayat, and village level in Odisha.
The program also saw the felicitation of healthcare workers and sanitation staff for their dedicated services.
To mark PM Modi’s 75th birthday, Parida visited the famous Maa Mangala Shakti Peeth in Kakatpur and lit a ceremonial lamp, offering prayers for the Prime Minister’s long life and prosperity. Beneficiaries of the newly launched Subhadra Yojana expressed gratitude to PM Modi during the celebrations.
The day concluded with a tree plantation program “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” at Maa Mangala College campus in Kakatpur. Organized by the Department of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change, the initiative highlighted the importance of protecting nature and addressing climate change. Parida planted saplings, underlining that tree plantation was the best tribute to mark the special occasion.
Deputy CM Pravati Parida’s active participation in diverse programs on PM Modi’s 75th birthday turned the day into a blend of social service, community outreach, and environmental awareness.
