New Delhi : In a major relief to millions of Indian farmers, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has officially announced that the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be disbursed on August 2, 2025. The upcoming transfer will benefit crores of eligible farmers across the nation.
The ministry, in a social media post late Tuesday, confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the funds directly into farmers’ bank accounts during an event in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Launched in February 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme provides ₹6,000 annually to eligible farmers in three equal installments of ₹2,000 every four months. The initiative aims to offer direct income support to small and marginal farmers to ensure financial stability and agricultural productivity.
Earlier, the 19th installment was released on February 24, 2025, during PM Modi’s visit to Bihar.
