Jharsuguda, Odisha : A heart-wrenching road accident has shocked Jharsuguda, claiming one life and leaving five others critically injured — among them three DAV School students.
According to reports, the three students — Krishna Yadav, Umit Oram, and Meghnad Oram — had recently returned from Balasore after participating in an inter-cluster level Kho-Kho tournament. They were welcomed at the Jharsuguda railway station before heading out with three friends for a drive.
Tragedy struck when their car, travelling from Sunarimunda towards Jharsuguda town, collided with a road divider near Hotel Utkal Continental. Local residents and Town Police rushed to their aid, quickly shifting the victims to Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital.
Doctors declared Krishna Oram dead on arrival, while the others were referred to Burla for advanced treatment. The deceased and two injured students are residents of Badmal, while the identities of the remaining three injured individuals have not yet been confirmed.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
