Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has sanctioned a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for staff working in State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
The revised DA rate, now set at 55% of basic pay, will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2025.
This decision ensures that eligible employees will receive arrears for the past nine months, offering a timely financial cushion amid rising living costs. The hike—from the previous 53% to 55%—reflects the state government’s commitment to employee welfare and economic resilience.
The announcement was made during the Chief Minister’s official visit to Jharsuguda, where he was engaged in late-night administrative reviews.
