Bhubaneswar, Odisha : The Odisha LPG cylinder crackdown has intensified as authorities seized 34 illegal home cooking gas cylinders across various areas of Bhubaneswar. Led by the District Supply Officer, the operation targeted black market activities, aiming to curb illegal distribution, ensure fair pricing, and protect consumers from unlawful practices. Officials emphasized continued vigilance to prevent such violations in the future.
The seizure was based on multiple complaints received regarding the unlawful sale of home cooking gas cylinders in the city. Officials confirmed that the operation aimed to ensure fair distribution and curb illegal profiteering.
Additional officers, including Rohit Kumar Das, Inspector Deepti Ranjan Indrasingh, Yatin Kumar Raut, and Aliva Dash, assisted in the operation. The team conducted inspections across several neighborhoods, identifying illicit storage and sale of LPG cylinders.
The Supply Department has reiterated its commitment to monitoring fuel distribution and warned that strict action will continue against black market activities to protect consumers and maintain law and order.
