Bhubaneswar, Odisha : Today Speaker Surama Padhy inaugurated the new website of the Odisha Legislative Assembly. Developed with the technical expertise of the Odisha Government’s NICT department and the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Government of India, the portal promises to make legislative proceedings more accessible to the public.
Speaking at the launch, the Speaker said the upgraded platform would play a crucial role in providing accurate information about the Assembly to citizens while making its operations more transparent and user-friendly. She noted that the site had not been updated since 2011, making this overhaul a long-awaited upgrade.
The revamped portal will feature detailed information about all MLAs and is designed to encourage greater public engagement with the legislative process. It also reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for good governance and civic participation.
The launch ceremony was attended by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling and the Assembly Secretary, along with other dignitaries.
